Thom Bresh gives Strong Performance in the eleventh hour using Strum 'N Comfort As a crescendo is to music so the experience was for the Strum ‘N Comfort® team over the four-day Chet Atkins Appreciation Society (CAAS) Convention held in Nashville. The simple, yet innovative, thumb sleeve and picking system was well received by guitarists from the first day forward. But it was the great sound and performance of Thom Bresh during the Tribute to Chet Atkins concert late Saturday night that brought Strum ‘N Comfort® to the full attention of the crowd.
In addition to Thom Bresh’s speedy adaptation to the Strum ‘N Comfort® traditional thumb pick model, many other accomplished guitarists have made favorable comments and have agreed to road test the new product. These notable guitarists include Guy Van Duser, Steve Trovato, Al Bonhomme, Stephen Bennett, Bruce Mathiske, Steve Rector and Pat Kirtley.
Strum ‘N Comfort® are soft and flexible thumb sleeves with a pick that is designed to provide total freedom in guitar playing technique. The picking system facilitates what some have called a “universal stringed instrument method”. Whether the guitar player has training in Classical finger-style, flat-picking, or the Chet Atkins finger picking method (using a traditional thumb-pick)… There is no longer a division limiting musical possibilities. Important features include player comfort and lower muscle fatigue, improved tone and pick control, grip flexibility and, most importantly, seamless access between finger-style and flat-pick techniques. Each contributes to the overall performance benefits of the Strum ‘N Comfort picking system. The Strum 'N Comfort® picking system eliminates many of the nagging and frustrating problems associated with traditional flat-picks and thumb-picks.
"I’ve been frustrated for a long time with traditional thumb-picks. Strum ‘N Comfort are what I’ve been waiting for". Richard Alcoy – Professional Guitarist and Teacher
Over the four days of the CAAS Convention the Strum ‘N Comfort® team, consisting of Greg Atkin (no relation to Chet Atkins), Richard Alcoy, David Oakes, EB Jensen and Roger Wang interested many guitar players with their professional demonstrations. Attendees were invited to test the various thumb sleeve models with custom picks by hands-on guitar playing. A constant stream of musicians tried the product first-hand and many joined in impromptu jam sessions on the spot! After their experience they were invited to complete a short survey of the product’s performance. The survey results verified a high product performance and consumer interest.
Strum ‘N Comfort® is a registered trademark of Greg Atkin and the product line is patent pending.
